2017 : The Best Year

Hey folks! We are unto the end of yet another remarkable year and what better way to bid adios to it than being thankful for it. 2017 was sheer amazing to me and I can't be more gratified, at the same time hoping that 2018 opens an even larger world of possibilities and dreams. Dedicating this poem to 'The Best Year - 2017 !'

As I lie upon the bridge of time today

The winds gushing lively memories foray

For how amusing it was now

The sands of new time had come upon

On one side lay a year passed with laughter tearing apart our bellies

And other, a year with a promise full of infinite victories

Each opportunity and every triumph

Spreading a chase of an even larger brian

My pride echoes with charms of my imperial baguette

For I always adorned opportunities with garlands from the beads of my sweat

My eyes gleam upon the marvellous harvest

For I have won the juiciest fruits from the forest

But how could one pass ahead without thanking the Gods

For how could it all happen without their odds

Hoping with the most honest prayers

That the coming times usher similar honours

With a promise to oneself to toil upon ever further

And love another even harder

And living each moment to it's heck

For I would prefer a garden full of roses than the finest diamonds in my neck
